Shown are six automobiles and one horse-drawn buggy, electric lines and poles, a street light hanging over the middle of the street, a dirt street, and a water tower. Businesses include: the Clear Lake Post Office, Anderson Electric Co., a garage with gasoline pump, a drug store (music & drugs, soda, candies, cigars), the Bank of Clear Lake, possibly a millinery shop, and a store with a sign upstairs for the Freemasons or Masons (A.F.& A.M., Ancient Free and Accepted Masons). Date from postmark: Sep 18, 1928; mailed from Clear Lake Wisconsin; carmine-red 2¢ Washington stamp. Message: Addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Hahn, 539½ 4th Ave., West Bend, Wisconsin "Clear Lake.
