Real-photo postcard with image of the main business street of Clear Lake, Polk County, Wisconsin. Shown are six automobiles and one horse-drawn buggy, electric lines and poles, a street light hanging over the middle of the street, a dirt street, and a water tower. Businesses include: the Clear Lake Post Office, Anderson Electric Co., a garage with gasoline pump, a drug store (music & drugs, soda, candies, cigars), the Bank of Clear Lake, possibly a millinery shop, and a store with a sign upstairs for the Freemasons or Masons (A.F.& A.M., Ancient Free and Accepted Masons). Date from postmark: Sep 18, 1928; mailed from Clear Lake Wisconsin; carmine-red 2¢ Washington stamp. Message: Addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Hahn, 539½ 4th Ave., West Bend, Wisconsin "Clear Lake. How is you? We are all fine. Going to Minnesota and will be back Friday So you can come and see us. From your Brudder and wife." On the side: "Art Hahn."
