Real-photo postcard image of a circus parade in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. The parade is lead by seven elephants. Handwritten on verso: July 19, 1909. Printed on Azo paper with all four triangles pointing up (used 1904-1918). Message: "There ware [sic] 11 elephants, [?], calliope, hippo, lions, lepard, lots of horses of course. I guess the largest ever came here. I do love to see the horses dance, it is best of all. Ivan & Howard & Roger stand by the telephone post I marked with cross. Anna Johnson stands with hands behind her. There ware [sic] lots of people in town. I will get more cards and send you if I can, different kinds, these are some I got."
