The Gay/Straight Alliance was a student organization that evolved from the Ten Percent Society in 1997. The mission of the organization was to provide a safe, supportive, confidential, and empowering environment to members and guests. Members of the organization were active on and off campus to encourage educational awareness and provide social opportunities.

The majority of this collection contains conference materials attended by students of the organization. Administrative records and correspondence contain information on the organization's mission and activities.

Phi Alpha Theta is an honorary society for historians. The Lambda Nu chapter at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls was organized in 1966.

The 10% or Ten Percent Society was a student-run organization at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, formed in 1991. The mission of the organization was to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for students, encourage awareness about Gay and Lesbian issues and provide social opportunities for members. Membership in the organization was open to all, regardless of sexual orientation.

This collection consists of records from the Ten Percent Society Committee for the years 1990-2000. These records include but are not limited to; membership lists, correspondence concerning the organization's activities, constitution and by-laws, event pamphlets and flyers, campus climate surveys, news articles, and personal letters to the organization's president, Mandy Fox.
