Scope and content
Real-photo postcard with image showing the intersection of two streets in Glenwood City, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. Most prominent is "The White Store," a church building with steeple can be seen behind it. There are many buggies, some with horses, parked along the street, and an automobile without a driver in the intersection facing the camera. A street light hangs in the middle of the intersection. Printed on Azo paper with all four triangles pointing up (used 1904-1918). Date from message: 11-9-14; postcard was not mailed. Message: Addressed to Miss Hanna Evenson, Colfax, Wisc. "11-9-14, Friend Hanna: - It seems as thou' there is nothing doing in regards to the trip up to your home, which we planned on at one time. I understand the people at Wheeler are going to dedicate there [sic] church the 22nd of this month. I guess they are planning a big time, they have invitted [sic] the Wilson choir to take part in the program, so if the weather is favorable we all intend to go. Closing in hopes we'll have nice weather. H.M."
