Date based on postmark and message: Jan 4 1918; mailed from Downing [Wis]; stamp has been removed. Message: Addressed to Mrs. E. Hanson, Oconto, Nebra. "Jan. 4, 1918, Dear Grandma, We received your package the day after Christmas. Thank you for it. Mamma would of wrote sooner but was looking for a letter. Love to all, Ada."
