Scope and content
Real-photo postcard with an image of the Norwegian Lutheran Church, in Little Falls, Wisconsin. Scratched on the photographer's negative, and so printed on the photograph, is "Norwegin [sic] Luthern [sic] Church, Little Falls Wisconsin, Pho[to] F. R. Hjelle." The little rural white church building has four tall, narrow stained glass windows on the side facing the camera, a steeple with a bell tower and an elaborate weather vane, a wood stove chimney, a double front door with transom window above it, and wooden steps with railings on both sides. There are visible tombstones on both sides of the church, plus fairly short trees and fencing. Printed on Azo paper with all four triangles pointing up (used 1904-1918). A short message is written on the verso in Norwegian: "Kjære Clara, jeg vil sende dig et Kard af Littlefalls Kirke" = Dear Clara, I will send you a card of Little Falls Church.
