Linen postcard with a comic rendering of a telephone operator saying in a speech bubble: Just Pluggin' in from Siren, Wisconsin with a Big "HELLO". Date from postmark: Aug 18, 1947; mailed from Siren Wisconsin; green 1¢ Washington stamp. Printed text on verso: "No. 931 -- Sign Post Comic Locals." Message on verso: Addressed to Mr. & Mrs. O. Snygg, 1403 - 28th St., Rockford, Illinois. "Siren, Aug 18. Hello folds. We got to Siren at noon on Saturday, so that was good time! We are all fine and are on the lake in between the showers. The kids are having a good time fishing & swimming. Hope you are not too warm down there. It sure is swell here. Best wishes from us all. Corinne."
