Rhyme: Goodness me, what can it be, Did some one steal your pen, I'd really be so glad if you, Would write me now and then. Date from message: 8-2-[19]14; postmark is very faint, possibly mailed in Aug. from Beldenville, Wisconsin; green 1¢ George Washington stamp. Message on verso: Addressed to Miss Sophie Hendrickson, 518 Ridgewood Ave., Minneapolis, Minn. 8-2-14. "Dear Friend, Well how are you? I am fine but it is pretty hot nowadays. I did not get over to see you after all before you went away. But hope I will see you soon as I am coming to the City in a couple of weeks. Ma and I have been to church to day. Love to you from Emma."
