Real-photo postcard showing the high school assembly room filled with children in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Postmarked Feb 27 1909; mailed from Ellsworth Wisconsin; green 1¢ Franklin stamp. Printed on Karbo paper (known to be used in 1908). Message: Addressed to Miss Cora Buettner, Stockholm, Wisconsin R.R.#1, Box 38. "Hello Cordy, How be you. Ay fan sick in de head. L. said you had The Little Schoolmistress, wiill you please bring it along or send it to me and I shall be very pleased. I have a pile of work to do today. I don't know as I shall ever get there. When I ge there working I shall have a little enjoyment reading Paradise Lost. Don't you think it will be enjoyment. We have finished. End. Lil. I got 91." In the opposite margin "Aren't my W's pretty."
