Letters received by Jonah Todd of Prescott, Wisconsin, including four from a cousin, John A. Lockwood, in Ohio; one Civil War letter from a friend, E. C. Cleveland who was serving with Co. A, 17th Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, at Holly Springs, Mississippi; and one addressed to a William James Gibbs.

The Tubbs Medicine Co. produced and distributed patent medicines. The manuscript traces the firm's history through 1910.

Accompanying this printed booklet are photocopied letters he wrote to family members during that period.
