Photocopies of transcripts from forty-seven oral history interviews pertaining to Saint Croix County, Wisconsin history conducted as a project of the St. Croix County Extension Homemakers.
Although farm and daily work, recreation, education, and family life were discussed, the interviews focus on description and history of various cities, villages, and townships in the county. These include the cities or villages of Baldwin, Burkhardt, Deer Park, Erin, Glenwood City, Hammond, New Richmond, Pleasant Valley, Wildwood, and Woodville; and the townships of Cylon, Erin, Hudson, Kinnickinnic, Pleasant Valley, Springfield, and Troy. One interview relates to the Mann Valley Cemetery and nearby German settlement.

An oral history project undertaken by members of the Wisconsin Extension Homemakers Council as a celebration of the organization's 50th anniversary, focusing on the life stories of Wisconsin homemakers and on the influence of the WEHC in their lives. Included are tape-recorded interviews, transcripts, a published guide to the project, a copy of "Taste Wisconsin History" (a cookbook derived from the project), photographs, a copy of a slide/tape show with accompanying script, publicity materials, and discussion guide, and a script for a play based on the oral histories.
Copies of everything in the collection are available in Madison in accession M90-325. A duplicate set of transcripts has been divided according to the counties of residence of the interviewees and is housed at the appropriate area research centers. Duplicate copies of the slide/tape show were sent to the River Falls, Green Bay, Milwaukee, Stevens Point, and Northland area research centers and a copy of the cookbook and the published guide was sent to each area research center. (The duplicate transcripts still are considered part of this collection; the slide/tape show copies and the publications are considered as given to the centers for integration into their campus resources as best suits each campus.)

Record book, 1913-1933, contains financial ledger information, circa 1913-1919, town board meeting minutes, circa 1921-1926, and a list of receipts and disbursements. Receipt and order register, 1920-1923, lists town workers and gives their names, jobs, and amount of payment. Treasurer's journal, 1923-1940, consists of cash transactions and orders, giving the name of recipient, sometimes reason for payment, and amount.
