Property along the St. Croix River was purchased as a summer resort by the Ilwaco Spring Company in 1910. A board of directors was established with Julia A. Morse as its president. The resort featured natural springs, a boat house all accessible from the St. Croix River. The company was officially dissolved in 1932. The area of the resort is now a residential area on Ilwaco Road.
