History
The Office of Auxiliary Services was established in January 1973 and reported to the Assistant Chancellor for Student Affairs. Its creation was prompted by the expansion in student services and reporting requirements to System Administration. The office was responsible for Residence Halls, Food Services, Student Center, Student Activities, and the Multi-Purpose Arena. In 1977 after a reorganization the Director of Auxiliary Services reported to the Assistant Chancellor for Business Affairs and responsibilities expanded to include the Child Care Center, Halfway House, Safety and Security, Parking, Handicap assistance, energy conservation, recycling, Free University, Health contract, Field Stations.
