Genealogical information, 1570-2000, on descendants of Thomas Rivard of Ige, Perche, France, born about 1570. His grandson Nicholas came to Quebec Province, Canada before 1651. Materials focus on the portion of the family that immigrated to the United States from Canada and resided in St. Croix and Polk counties in Wisconsin starting 1864, with a particularly pronounced presence in Somerset, Wisconsin. Consists of family histories of the Rivards in English and French; materials such as correspondence, biographies, and ephemera related to individual family members; photographs, many of which are labeled; and a plat map of Rivard Park on Wapogasset Lake, Wisconsin.
