Entries usually include name, denomination, geographic assignment, and name of authorizing ecclesiastical superior. Copies of official certificates are sometimes attached. Volume 1 contains ordination records, 1855-1885, but also includes orders of the court and record of legal papers filed in court cases, 1851-1853, and a few entries certifying medical degrees for applicants to the Medical Examination Board, 1887-1897.
