Wagon bridge, Somerset, Wisconsin

Real-photo postcard with image of the bridge over the Apple River at Somerset, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. Houses and other buildings -- including the bell tower of the Catholic school, finished in 1907 -- can be seen on the hillside on the other side of the river. The bridge was meant for wagon traffic, so the photograph was probably taken in the early 1900s. Unused.
