Military records and memoirs of Howard Christenson from Spring Valley (Wis.) who served during World War II as a pilot in the 17th Bomb Group of the 37th Squadron, U.S. Army Air Force; including documentation of his training, individual flights, promotions, transfers, reserve service, and awards.
Also included are his memoirs of his wartime experience as well as those of Thomas Alton, a close friend of Christenson's from the same combat group and a fellow Wisconsin native. Additionally, there are articles on the history of the plane Christenson flew, the B-26 Marauder, and the history of the 37th Squadron. Photos consist of Christenson's flight class at Rankin Aeronautical Academy and combat duty in the Mediterranean.

One folder of photographs titled, Hudson graduation 1972 was originally accessioned separately but will be collated with the remaining series once the collection is processed.
This folder contains images that appear to have been the mock-ups for the 1972 HHS yearbook. All the photographs, with the exception of 2 loose images, were attached to a white background paper titled with notes and page number, unclear if this is where the pages were supposed to go in the yearbook or not. 1972 HHS yearbook was unavailable for comparison at time of transfer. Some photos appear to have names on back (Original yellow folder labeled 1972 graduation was not retained with the pictures). Photographs were in good condition aside from being affixed with a tape fastener, which was not loose at time of review

Records of a River Falls, Wisconsin, organization in existence from 1973 to 1978 which provided information, referral, and follow-up services to individuals in order that they might more easily locate social service agencies able to serve their needs. The materials include annual reports, correspondence, publicity, information on work procedures including sample questions, some financial records, and fragmentary records of related agencies.
Absent from the records are the agency logs of incoming questions which were destroyed when the organization dissolved in 1978. Other materials at that time were transferred to the Elders' Area Resources Service, River Falls, Wisconsin.

In 1955, Dr. James J. McLaughlin, a Mathematics professor, was made Director of the newly formed Department of Arts and Sciences. In 1964 these divisions became colleges and McLaughlin became the first Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. This series contains McLaughlin's papers which include correspondence, news clippings, budget and promotion materials, and a variety of miscellaneous documents.

Papers of the managing editor of the "Amery Free Press," a local Wisconsin paper, documenting his work with the newspaper, his service with the Peace Corps in the Philippines (1962-1964), and his community involvement. Papers pertaining to his Peace Corps service include letters from friends in the United States and the Philippines, official memos, and training brochures. "Free Press" records consist of reader mail, other correspondence, and clippings. Activity in community work is revealed through the subject file, which contains material on local schools and hospitals, and organizations. Photographs include images of Sondreal and acquaintances in the Philippines and of the Cameron High School band and choir, and copies of invitations to weddings. Additions added in 2016 include leaflets dispersed by the Government of Vietnam (GVN) during the Vietnam War and papers relating to Martin Baligdia, a Filipino man attempting to obtain a veteran disability pension for his family following the death of his father in 1953.
