Part of Photographic postcard collection
Real-photo postcard with view of the post-flood damage in Spring Valley, Wisconsin, from the September 17, 1942, flood. Title supplied by cataloger. A slightly different angle view of this image appeared in the Minneapolis "Star Journal" with the caption: "Flood water carried this Spring Valley automobile two blocks before it finally left it this way, its rear end high in a tree." Printed on EKC paper (this stamp box design used 1930-1950). Verso shows signs of having been removed from a scrapbook, otherwise unused.
