Small real-photo image of the Ellsworth, Wisconsin, train depot, mounted on a postcard with a rhyme. The photograph shows a steam locomotive and at least two passenger cars, a wagon with a pair of horses, and seven men standing around. Verse: Here I am, in this beautiful town, Enjoying the sights and cheer, The scenery's great and I'm feeling first rate But Oh, how I wish you were here. Date from postmark and message: Jan 7, 1912; mailed from Beldenville, Wisconsin; green 1¢ Benjamin Franklin stamp. Message on verso: Addressed to Miss Carrie Larson, 2506 2nd Ave S., Minneapolis, Minn. "Beldenville, Wisconsin, Jan. 7, 1912. Hallow Carrie, Well how are you. I am fine and hope you are the same. I am staying at home now. Louis & Christ & Victor & Oscar was here last night and we had a jolly time. Greet you from Clara. bye bye, Johnnie."
